Getting out in Elizabethtown
Nestled at the foothills of the Adirondack High Peaks and adjacent to the Lake Champlain valley, Elizabethtown has limitless opportunities for outdoor recreation. There's no need to venture far! Without leaving town, you can view the High Peaks at sunset on a family-friendly hike at the Blueberry Hill Trails, play a round at Cobble Hill Golf Course in the middle of town or shoot hoops at the Social Center. There are amazing opportunities for skiing, hiking and world-class mountain biking as well as fishing, hunting, and discovering swimming holes and waterfalls.

Biking
Elizabethtown has miles of single-track mountain biking to suit beginners to experts, and back roads to keep road cyclists spinning along. For mountain biking options, check out the trail networks at Cobble Hill, Otis Mountain and the Blueberry Trails - along with the Bike Ranch. Kids, beginners, and anyone wanting to expand their skills should check out the skills park at the E'town Trail Center, which is a great spot for a picnic lunch. New to town or to local trails? Keep an eye out for group rides and other chances to ride with the locals.
Camping
Lincoln Pond Campground, is a charming spot for those looking to enjoy the great outdoors. With a mix of wooded and waterfront sites, it’s perfect for tent campers and RVers alike, offering a laid-back vibe that many visitors appreciate.
You can also find backwoods camping on Giant Mountain and Blueberry Hill Trails. There is a trail to a lean-to with beautiful views of Elizabethtown and Lake Champlain. The Cabin Trail has an old cabin for overnights as well. The backwoods camping options are a first come, first serve basis.
Climbing
Ice climbing and rock climbing can be enjoyed throughout the greater Adirondack region. There are limited places to enjoy climbing in Elizabethtown, check out Otis Mountain and Blueberry Hill Trails for climbing in our backyard.
Blueberry Cobbles is a bouldering summit located south of town with access at the Rocky Peak Ridge trailhead.
Disc golf
There is a disc golf course on Lawrence Way in Elizabethtown. This course is beginner and family-friendly, with an interesting route through the Elizabethtown Social Center property and along the Boquet River.
There are discs at the starting hole to borrow along with score cards and maps, or you can print them - map & scorecard.
Fishing
With miles of streams, many ponds, and the Boquet River meandering through town, fishing opportunities abound.
Public Fishing Rights are permanent easements purchased by NYSDEC from willing landowners. This gives anglers the right to fish and walk along the river bank.

As a MEMBER, you can have access to the Elizabethtown Fish & Game property which also runs along the Boquet River.
Golf
Cobble Hill Golf Course - Holes: 9 Par: 35 Yards: 3,033
This is a municipal Golf Course owned and operated by the Town of Elizabethtown. The course opens in late April to members and fully opens (including clubhouse) in May - weather permitting.

Ice Skating
Check out the Elizabethtown Ice Rink for winter fun on two blades. There are plenty of extra skates and helmets to borrow or bring your own! The town even provides hot chocolate during the season.
Parks
Elizabethtown Trail Center is one of the Town's newest property endeavors. It is the perfect place to meet up before exploring all the outdoor adventures e'town has to offer. The trail center address is 8517 NYS Route 9N (High Street).
Footbridge Park (on Footbridge Lane off Water Street) has a short nature trail to enjoy.
Noble Terrace Athletic Fields on Campe Park Way (almost at the end of Noble Terrace) is home to the Town soccer field, Elizabethtown Ice Rink & BVYC baseball/softball field coming this spring.
Playground at the Boquet Valley CSD - Mountain View Campus
Windsor Memorial Park is at the heart of Elizabethtown at 7533 Court Street.
Skiing
Otis Mountain is a small community ski hill located just South of town on Lobdell Lane.
Cross-country skiing is available on some of the flatter trails on Cobble Hill and at the Cobble Hill Golf Course.
Sledding
The traditional sledding hill is at the Cobble Hill Golf Course. Park along NYS Route 9N at the second hole and enjoy the golf course year-round.
Alternately, try sledding at the E'town Trail Center, warm up by the fireplace afterwards.

Spots of Interest
Blueberry Cobbles
Do not confuse this bouldering summit with nearby Blueberry Hill Trails or Cobble Hill Trails. This aptly-named mountain is the first summit on the East Trail to Rocky Peak and Giant at 1.9 miles from US Route 9.

Blueberry Hill is a unique recreation area that caters to a wide range of uses from hiking to horseback riding.
